my-delivery-bag-rack-have-arrived

Amidst shopping for all the gears that I’ve used before for my Youtube channel, I have overlooked one important gear. Finally, after delays in the delivery, it arrived today. I’m so excited that I simply had to share it with you. Behold, my new delivery bag rack has arrived! Well at least it did arrive but I haven’t unpacked it yet though.

Despite mishaps during delivery, Ninja Van managed to repack the item for the delivery to continue. It was delayed by a day but I’m fine as long as there are no cosmetic damages to the delivery bag bracket.

Why The Purchase?

Upon purchase of my ebike, I was already given a rear rack by the seller. The rack however is insufficient to hold the standard delivery bag provided by delivery companies. Not only that, it also poses a safety risk as my rear brake light cannot be seen clearly. Since I have to ride on the road, I would prefer to ride bright and ride safe.

Look at the current situation of my delivery bag. Currently, I’m using bungee cords to secure the bag to the rack. Due to the small surface area coverage, the rack that I got as a free gift has totally sunk into the bag. This made the bag unstable. As the bag is lowered at its end, road users also may not be able to see my brake light.

Of course, there would be some who would recommend using a cheaper alternative like the mass-produced barbeque mesh. It is cheap but does not last long. Due to its material and build, it could not withstand heavyweight and definitely would require continuous replacement.

Those who have read my post on the Vimoto V6 would have known that I would buy cheap if it lasts long. I would definitely continue to use it if my license wasn’t disqualified in April this year.

1st Impressions

Most of the time I don’t regret what I’ve bought. There are some times that’s not the case. The delivery bag rack however is definitely one that I would recommend. For 1st impressions, it is up to my expectations. It has the rugged look without the rugged weight and price.

Material wise would be as of any GIVI heavy duty rack. Definitely not that of those cheap motorcycle box racks which you get when you buy any motorcycle. Comes with all the necessities and a wrench. Check it out!

I chose to buy the largest which is 53cm by 43cm for its external measurement. Internally measuring 50cm by 40cm which ideally could fit a standard food delivery bag like mine in the above image. Not bad for a total product cost of SGD$19.90. Now, this is excluding the delivery charge of SGD$1.49 if you decide to go for the 3 to 5 days delivery. Really cheap!

There would be no unboxing video for this delivery bag rack since it’s massive. However, I will be doing an installation video for e-bikes and bicycles for you guys. I might be getting a 2nd set for my motorcycle too but that would be towards the end of the 3rd quarter.

Lots more to come, all DIY stuff so do watch out for it! I shall end today’s blog post here. See you guys in my next video coming out in a couple of days. Stay safe, Ride safe! 🙂
